STATIONERY TRADITION

A unique landscape in the world: Vineyards and paper mills

The appearance of the Phylloxera in 1888 and later the Civil War were the main causes of the rural exodus towards the paper industry, thus aggravating the progressive disappearance of the wine sector.
For more than 40 years, this industry sustained the region and positioned it in the world, offering secure and higher wages.
That is why the Pla de Morei estate coexists in an environment that has witnessed this socioeconomic transformation, thus resulting in a unique landscape in the world.
